In case the news isn't obvious, the blue blur Sonic the Hedgehog is finally returning to his old gaming roots after 16 years. Just as Megaman did for the games Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10, Sonic is sure to please all those fans who couldn't stand his 3-D adventures. Sure, the graphics and environment may look 3-D, but the platform gaming style is 2-D. Evidently, this game is broken down into episodes, which will be available to download for next-gen consoles as well as iPhone. The first episode is currently set for release this July. With other Sonic characters getting rejected left and right, however, it looks as though only Sonic will be the hero at this rate as far as playable characters go, but let's just wait and see what happens.Tuesday, February 16, 2010
