The End of a Legacy

As many of you know by now, July 15th 2011 marked the end of a British legend, the Harry Potter legacy. With seven books and eight movies, this month officially closes the book on the most magical journey in history. For ten years, the books grabbed our attention, and for ten years, the movies captivated audiences worldwide. And now, alas, as the promotional tagline for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 says... "It All Ends".

Farewell, Harry Potter. We hardly knew ye... Ah, who am I kidding? Fans knew him very well, right from when he was first seen sleeping under that cupboard to when he was portrayed as a 36-year-old man of legend, married with three children. The boy who lived is now the man who defeated Lord Voldemort!

Thank you, J.K. Rowling, for creating and putting together this British masterpiece!

Keeping It Simple, Silly

"Oh my gosh, Isabella! Is this for real?"

"I...don't know."

Recently, according to a Facebook entry on Phineas and Ferb, it has been claimed that a response to a fan question "Will Phineas and Isabella ever get together?" was answered at the Comic-Con 2011 panel as "There will be a Phineas and Isabella kiss in something coming up real soon!" While this may be something that Phineas and Isabella fans have been dying to see right from the start, there are still a number of things that can make this whole thing nothing but hogwash. Firstly, can someone clarify for me that a Facebook entry on the show has actually been in existence? And if it always has, was the staff always in charge? Personally, I'm convinced that some user is having a little fun trying to trick us into believing the pairing of Phineas and Isabella is actually possible at this point. Secondly, many fans were originally pumped for this sort of thing, but it appears that some users are now against the pairing with bogus talk of something so little possibly potentially ruining the show. What happened to the tons of support out there? What made them change their minds? Did they not count on this gag possibly becoming a reality? And thirdly, would a question like this that has possibly been presented numerous times suddenly be answered just like that? Something that could just give away an ending to a long-awaited fairy tale? Not even Dan and Swampy would give away any kind of thing that could be seen as a spoiler, despite rumors of Dan practically giving away the ending to the movie by answering fan questions elsewhere on the Internet. Is this whole turnaround just plainly and simply too good to be true? I'll bet it is. Good day.

Music to Protect the World From Evil

This music video is said to air on Disney Channel tonight as another promo to watch the upcoming movie. However their YouTube page was courteous enough to upload it a little early.

Dream World

The world of Kingdom Hearts continues to expand again. Recently, it has been stated that the Nintendo 3DS title, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, is almost half completed with voice recording to begin soon. Also, it is said that a playable demo will soon show itself at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show later in the year, which will feature two new mysterious characters and a new type of enemy. Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and now... something new? Kingdom Hearts fans will be looking forward to the results, I'm sure.

Kick It Up A Little Longer

The single "Kick It Up a Notch" from Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is now released, and its availability includes iTunes. Of course, now it's being claimed that there's an even longer version of this song on the actual soundtrack of the Phineas and Ferb movie. Personally, I thought this one was pretty good, so why would there be an even lengthier one? Well, the music video ought to be interesting when it comes...

Kick It Up A Notch

If any of you recall, according to Laura Dickinson, the soundtrack to the TV movie Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is said to including a song featuring Slash, a former lead guitarist from the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses. Well, this is it, the song known as "Kick It Up A Notch". Evidently, it is currently stated that Phineas himself is participating in singing lyrics as well and also a single is being released on July 19th. Perhaps then, we'll find out more about this song, regarding who sings what and all that. I look forward to the results.

Mom! Phineas and Ferb are on the New York Times!

"Oh, Candace, for crying out loud! What's wrong with that?" My thoughts exactly! But then again, for all we know, Candace could just once again be jealous of her brothers. And in this case, they made it to the New York Times, becoming celebrities before her! ...Well, the cast and the show, in any case. Or she's jealous because Ashley Tisdale was not among the cast. But seriously, today a video has been uploaded showing the wonders of the hit television show, Phineas and Ferb, including the official movie trailer and interviews with six of the cast members, including Dan and Swampy themselves, obviously, and even more obviously, them demonstrating the voices of the characters they portray. The cast also included Vincent Martella (Phineas), Maulik Pancholy (Baljeet), Alyson Stoner (Isabella), and Dee Bradley Baker (Perry the Platypus/Agent P). Yet another historical moment for the show, one that not even Spongebob is capable of. This goes to show that not only does Phineas and Ferb continue to hold bragging rights over the potential of surpassing the idiotic yellow sponge, but Dan and Swampy's persistence to get the show accepted and on the air paid off. It did take them at least a decade and a half, but we can imagine it was well worth the wait for all of this. 2011 is definitely gonna be a historical and memorable year for the show. All this and the movie still hasn't aired yet!

It's Not Wise to Counter Meklords With Synchros

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game has recently made Meklord Emperor Wisel an English card, meaning that the Meklord archetype is now completed in the TCG. Meklord Emperor Wisel, Meklord Emperor Granel, and Meklord Astro Mekanikle have been available as promotional cards from purchasing specific issues of the Shonen Jump magazine while Meklord Emperor Skiel and Meklord Astro Dragon Asterisk are currently available as hard-to-find cards in the booster pack Extreme Victory. Apparently, Meklord Emperor Wisel was the last of the Meklord cards to be released in English and yet the first to make its debut in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime series.

The Fifth Finale

WARNING! SPOILERS! This post contains spoilers regarding the Japanese Super Mario World hack, Super Mario World: VIP & Wall Mix 5, the fifth in the VIP series. View at your own risk if you wish to find out for yourself.

If you have played this series of Japanese hacks, you may remember that each final boss is an original boss, meaning they are exclusive VIP bosses. The final boss of Super Mario World: VIP & Wall Mix 4 is considered an original boss, but it is loosely based on the final form of the Seven Heroes, the final boss from Romancing SaGa 2. However, on an interesting note, the final boss of the latest VIP hack is nothing original at all, but rather it is none other than Julius Vandole, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy Adventure. Not to mention, he is located in the game's final stage, Bowser's Castle and completely replaces Bowser as the final boss. Also, the boss's ASM file has been slightly modified from the one in the demo versions. With more arsenal added to two of his attacks and an extra phase, Julius is much tougher to defeat. Good luck!
