True Nightmare Night

So, now that Hurricane Sandy has come and gone, barely leaving a dent in the far reaches of the Northeast, the real frights can come on Halloween, right?  Wrong.  In comparison to just simply having a good scare and stuffing our faces with candy, what we faced a few days ago and what we're about to go up against after the votes of 2012 are in... well, let's just say that Halloween's Nightmare Night is nothing.  We've had our pre-Halloween fright in the form of a superstorm and for the cherry on top, our post-Halloween fright will be here momentarily when ol' Butt-ney takes over our country no thanks to the winner-takes-all electoral votes.  And you stupid Americans have no one to blame but yourselves when our country falls.  After all, who's making the stupid decisions to vote for this evil millionaire king who desires nothing more than to create a paradise for only rich and sophisticated snobs who could care less as we suck dirt beneath their heels.

Damn you, American citizens.  I hate your guts and I hope you suffer for what you've done to yourselves.

Oh, well.  I'll always enjoy the three episode saga "Field of Screams" from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, which for years has become my favorite Halloween pastime.  Until next year, good riddance American people.  Because of your foolish decisions to be naive and believe a power-hungry madman, I no longer care about what happens to any of you.  Begone from my sight, vile humans!

Frankenstorm

Soooo...  What do you make of this?  Hurricane Sandy is about to collide with another oncoming storm, which will create one hell of a mess in the mid-Atlantic.  Whereas up here in the Northeast, we anticipate not much more than wind and rain.  I wonder if New England for much of the time is considered a "safe zone" in comparison to the rest of the country...  Well, here's your early pre-Halloween fright for you.

Cutie Bloom

My colleague Black Kyurem has submitted a second story to FIMFiction.net, this time in light of all the times Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon exemplify the act of segregation and bullying, particularly towards Apple Bloom.  The story is meant to show us the worst-case scenarios that can come out of this international problem and Black Kyurem was nice enough to dedicate the story to Phoebe Prince and Amanda Todd, two teenage girls who became victims of bullying and both committed suicide.  So let's be a little sensitive here.

Delays Are Usually a Good Thing in the Long Run

Recent news has been posted that the first Phineas and Ferb movie slated for its theatrical release has been delayed, or pushed back, to an unknown release date sometime in 2014 as opposed to July 26, 2013.  Now the good thing about this is that it grants Dan and Swampy as well as the rest of the staff more flexibility with their schedules on the TV series and the movie as well as the Fireside Girls spinoff, which is being focused on less than the current Phineas and Ferb projects.  In other words, if something in media is delayed, be it a movie or video game, it comes out much better than it would if it were to be rushed and met on time with an original deadline.  A fine example of this is the video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which had been delayed a few times before its final release date.  Obviously the reason for that was because the enormous staff was pumping everything they could into the game before reaches its final completion stage.

This bit of news is inspiring to me personally and I hope viewers and consumers understand any and all reasons for delays.  It means that things are still a work in progress and when they are finally released, it's well worth the longer wait.  Super Smash Bros. Brawl can vouch for that.

Rise and Fall of the Crystal Empire

Looks like an official air date for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 3 has been set in stone.  The date is Saturday, November 10, 2012, beginning at 10 a.m. with the anticipated two-part premiere episodes "The Crystal Empire", Parts 1 & 2.

Aw, no.  They brought back Shining Armor.  That bastard!  Why did he have to come back?

Well, I guess it couldn't be avoided, but anyways...  In about a little less than a month, excited fans and bronies get to uncover the mysteries surrounding the cursed empire of the north after a thousand-year absence (get a lot of those, don't we?) and I get to root for the new villain, King Sombra, to put on one hell of a show.  If he can't bring the series up to snuff, what can?

Who is Skyla?

I'm not talking about the Unova Gym Leader of Mistralton City.  I'm talking about Princess Skyla from the My Little Pony toy merchandise.  It seems to me that she is speculated to be the daughter of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, based on dialogue written on her box.  Of course, it's highly unlikely she's even gonna show up in the current TV series at all.  Quite frankly, I obviously don't give a damn.  Sadly, she's already starting to appear in Rule 34 images, in other words, porn, which is pretty bad considering her school-age appearance.  But that's just what happens with just about anything.  When something exists, there is always Rule 34.  Ick.  Oh, well...

X.A.N.A. Reborn

http://www.sudouest.fr/images/2012/08/28/805579_21149197_460x306.jpg
First it was said that a new series, or fifth season, of Code Lyoko known as Code Lyoko Evolution would be coming late 2012.  Next, it was said that this time around, it would be a live-action series, but still using CGI for the interior Supercomputer world of Lyoko.  This image is undeniable proof that it's going through as live-action.  But it looks as though a new warrior named Laura has joined the cast this time around.  The current plot of Code Lyoko Evolution is that the multi-agent program named X.A.N.A. has mysteriously been revived and is more powerful and dangerous than ever before.  The group now must find out who could have possibly brought back X.A.N.A. and why.  The series is currently set to air this November.  Old-time Codo Lyoko fans are in for a treat, I'm sure.

The Pokémon Games Have Been Doubled!

Just yesterday, the long-awaited sequel games, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 were released here in the United States in stores everywhere!  Those who get the game immediately also get a chance to add the elusive Pokémon Genesect to their rosters, but only through Wi-Fi up until November 12th.  There is also said to be a way to obtain Meloetta at some point, but the current details are unknown at this time.  So what are you Poké fans waiting for?  Christmas?  Well...  I would.

...I still want Pokémon Black...

It's Always a Good Time for Ponies

Equestria Daily featured this music video in light of an official Season 3 announcement regarding the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Looks like it's coming this November... not that I care.  If the series doesn't improve, it's not worth waiting for.  After what potentially ruined the series, what could possibly make it better?

Seal the Day

At last, it's here!  It's the legal release of The Seal of Orichalcos!  Just purchase Legendary Collection 3: Yugi's World at stores that sell trading cards and you'll get this prize of a card, along with Five-Headed Dragon, Dark Necrofear, Guardian Eatos, and three Token cards.  Not a bad deal, eh?  And as we might have expected, The Seal of Orichalcos itself has been drastically watered down from its series counterpart, but it keeps a few effects that relates to what happens when it is played in the series.  Since it seals the Extra Deck for the player who activates this card, it is highly recommended not relying on it for strategies revolving around this card.  Try using it with Earthbound Immortals or Malefics to unleash holy hell on your opponents!
